Our starting point is Greenstone Centre’s Entrance 3. From there we’ll go through the boom gates (without paying), around a traffic circle and then along the road that goes between Greenstone centre and Stoneridge Mall (this road hasn’t been named yet).

We turn left into Black Rock Road, go under the bridge and then turn left into Hereford .

The first crossroad we reach is Modderfontein Road, where we turn left.

We go straight down Modderfontein Road, across Van Riebeek Road, past the N3 Germiston on-ramp, and then we’ll take the N3 Pretoria on-ramp (to our left). The on-ramp does a fairly tight 180 degree turn, but after that it’s freeway all the way.

We’ll pass a number of off-ramps, London Road, Marlboro, and then the N1 Pretoria/Buccleau offramp. This is where we stop heading towards Pretoria and start heading towards Roodepoort, and also where the group from Pretoria will join the route.

The next off-ramps are Rivonia and William Nicol, followed by Malibongwe (previously called Hans Strijdom) where the Brightwater Commons group will join.

From Malibongwe we head south, past Beyers Naude (once DF Malan Drive ), Fourteenth Avenue , Gordon Road , Maraisburg and Soweto off-ramps, and then we take the Rand Show turnoff.

At the robot we turn left, and a little way down Rand Show Road we reach the gate to the Exhibition Centre (Nasrec) on our left.

From here marshals will show you where to park.
